Having ‘survived’ the first daunting and overwhelming Be Right Back social, I continued talking on the Whatsapp group. Being quite a shy person, having made it through the first social and continuing to talk on the group was a big achievement for me! Little did I know back then how much this group and these ladies would open up for me, not only in the car/automotive world.
The February social was at Caffeine & Machine at The Bowl. I made my way there, looking for some familiar faces. I found them and made myself at home in the corner, ordering what now seems to be my go-to treat breakfast (chocolate milkshake, hashbrown bites and a breakfast bun – delicious!).
Still a bit nervous, as this was only my second time, I started talking to the ladies around me, making conversation. There were a lot less people here this time but still a good amount with some new faces. It was nice to see some new faces, so I didn’t feel like the only one and it was nice to start building on relationships and conversations from the last social. Once again, I found a dog to engage with, and she loved the hashbrown bites!
In between the January social and this one, Be Right Back had launched its paid membership. In what must have been a moment of madness, or proof that this group of ladies are amazing (and with support from my partner), I had decided to purchase a membership. Each membership box had a unique car photograph included, as the organiser is a very talented automotive photographer. Mine was a Jimny! Very happy with that choice as a tiny car lover! (Caffeine & Machine sticker not included).
But now this meant I was fully committed to Be Right Back and would need to make the most of my membership (I can assure you reader that I certainly have!).
Feeling a bit neglected with my new found love and freedom of attending car socials, my partner wanted to take the Seicento for a drive. So off we went that evening to take the little red car out for a sunset drive up to Brill Windmill, taking in the lovely scenery and pretending to be on our own rally stage (following the appropriate speed limits of course).
That was it for the Seicento and Tall Girl car adventures for this month.
Until next month…
